Anyone who wants to go to the Sparkasse Landsberg-Dießen ATM on the main square in Landsberg today will be thwarted: the ground floor of the bank's main office will be completely gutted and rebuilt.
Starting tomorrow, the self-service center and ATM will be located in a container in front of the building.
However, this also means there will be no disabled parking space at this point.

Landsberg - Withdrawing or depositing money: This should be possible again from tomorrow on the main square in the container in front of the building.
“We are still in the process of building a ramp for barrier-free access to the container,” says Demel.
The customer center for service and advice will also be accessible again from next Monday - in the neighboring building, the previous real estate center.
What is where is indicated on the banners using arrows.
The previous “customer hall”, as Christian Demel, Head of Organization at the Sparkasse, calls the counter hall on the ground floor, will remain closed until mid-May.
According to Demel, it was relatively “sporty,” but they wanted to complete the entire renovation within twelve weeks.
Disabled parking space will be relocated
Due to the container and the distances required and necessary according to Demel for tradesmen, insurance and building regulations, the previous disabled parking space in front of the bank will no longer be available.
Demel says they have applied to the city for the necessary space.
“The city of Landsberg then approved it.” Simone Sedlmair from the city of Landsberg informed that moving the construction site area to the north was not possible because parking spaces for taxis would be set up there.
However, the disabled parking space will not be lost: it will be “moved south of the construction site”.

The renovation was “limited to the bare minimum,” assures Demel.
And will still create a “functional, beautiful and customer-oriented” customer hall.
The “complete modernization of the lower area” became necessary due to the technology: “It was built in the 1980s, so the technology was installed back then,” says Demel.
Certain systems can no longer be repaired or renovated according to requirements.
Demel cites, as examples, the cable ducts required for IT, the sound insulation in the consultation rooms required for data protection purposes, and the ventilation system.
Demel does not want to disclose the costs of the construction project.
But “the costs of the renovation in the 80s will not be exceeded - despite construction costs that have now risen massively”.
They want to implement everything within a “justifiable framework”; “after all, we have a public mandate,” assures Demel.
