Injured as a result of falling rockets/according to Section 27 A of the Copyright Law, Eli Ashkenazi
Sharp criticism in the IDF for the lack of interception of an air defense system following the events of last night (Wednesday), in which a female soldier at the Northern Command base was killed by Hezbollah's rocket barrage. During the launches, 11 Grad missiles with a diameter of 122 mm were fired from the Hanin area in southern Lebanon.
The air defense system's radar detected that some of the rockets that passed over Metula and Kiryat Shmona were supposed to fall in open areas and therefore no interceptors were launched at them.
A military source said that security areas should be under strict surveillance by an air defense system, and such mistakes should not be allowed to happen. "No It is clear whether the complex weather conditions or another technical detail led to the fact that the interceptor did not hit the rocket, but this was not supposed to be a complex operation.
This rocket was not supposed to fall in the heart of the base and certainly not kill a female soldier."

The radar detected that rockets were supposed to fall on Ziv Hospital and the Northern Command base. Iron Dome batteries fired interceptors at the rockets, but one rocket managed to penetrate and hit the base area while the soldier ran for cover. The
military source added that the problem could not be with the warning, but with the system. "There is a very large dispersion of loudspeakers in the city of Safed and the military base, that was not the problem.
Apparently the problem is when the system was activated for the first time: was there a delay in activating the system at the base and this meant that some of the soldiers were only on their way to the protected areas.
This is the first point that is being examined."
The source also said that the issue is still being investigated, but the methods used by Hezbollah are not new to them, "The interception issue is being investigated and no findings have been submitted yet, only estimates," he said. "This is not a new type of rocket.
It is also not new that Hizbollah operates with the flooding method of a large barrage to try and complicate the systems.
The point from which the rocket was launched is also known."
