A trip to the mountains planned in the coming days?
The holiday vouchers lying around in your drawers could be very useful to you.
These non-nominative vouchers issued by the National Agency for Holiday Checks (ANCV) to some 4.5 million employees and civil servants can be used by 130,000 traders in France, including 20,000 in departments located in the mountains.
Before taking them, you must make sure that they are still valid.
Those from 2021 expired since December 31, 2023 are not lost for good: they can still be exchanged until March 31, 2024.

Furthermore, it is necessary to distinguish the type of holiday voucher: Classic or Connect or Sport Coupons.
Classic
checks
, in paper format, are the most common.
They come in the form of denominations of 10, 20, 25 and 50 €.
These vouchers allow you to pay for numerous services, ranging from hotel accommodation to equipment rental and ski lift passes.
But also your train tickets, provided that it is at the counter, in an agency.
A large number of Sport2000 and Intersport stores accept them only for equipment rental (and not for purchase).
Ski lessons for children or family raclette
If you plan to dine on a fondue or raclette, Classic vouchers are accepted in most restaurants, whether large chains or independent establishments.
We will first ensure the presence of the ANCV logo on the front of the restaurant.
Finally, these titles are used to pay for a sports license or ski lessons for yourself or to help your children earn their first star.
For example, they are accepted by the French Ski School (ESF), the largest ski school in the world with 250 establishments in France.
Sport Coupons
,
also issued by the ANCV, make it possible to finance these same sporting activities in 130 disciplines with 48,000 associations or clubs;
however, they do not allow you to rent equipment or pay for other purchases.
Connect
tickets
, dematerialized, allow you to pay for your purchases to the nearest cent.
They offer the same advantages as paper format titles, except that they are accepted by a smaller number of merchants: around 40,000 out of 130,000 ANCV partners.
While these digital checks can also be used to pay for your train tickets to get there, you may not be able to use them everywhere once you reach the mountain station.
The complete list of brands accepting holiday vouchers, whatever their format, is available on the ANCV search engine.
