In the Isarvorstadt, the fire brigade had to be called out at night because of a burning sofa bed.

A burning mattress triggered a fire brigade operation in the Isarvorstadt on Thursday night.
One resident was slightly injured.
Munich – A sofa bed caught fire on Thursday, February 15th around 4:20 a.m. in the Isarvorstadt.
The fire occurred in an apartment on the third floor of a six-story residential building on Geyerstrasse, the Munich fire department said.
Several neighbors and passers-by alerted the fire department.
The slightly injured resident was initially unaware of the fire
When the fire brigade arrived, they noticed thick smoke behind one of the windows of the house.
Most of the other residents had already left their apartments by then.
A fire department breathing apparatus force opened the entrance door and installed a smoke curtain.
After entering the apartment, the emergency services noticed the 66-year-old resident in the hallway of the apartment.
He initially didn't notice anything about the fire in the sofa bed.
The fire department immediately handed the 66-year-old over to the emergency services, who took him to hospital as a precaution.
The resident was slightly injured in the fire.

Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the burning mattress
The emergency services were able to quickly extinguish the fire because the mattress was already smoldering when they arrived.
They then checked the remaining apartments in the house and ventilated them extensively.
The remaining residents were then able to return to their apartments.
