A 24-year-old man
was arrested in the province of Santa Fe accused of
wanting to carry out terrorist attacks in Argentina
, after an investigation that was carried out with Spain.
The arrest was made by agents of the Anti-Terrorist Investigation Unit Division of the Investigation Superintendence of the Argentine Federal Police (PFA), after receiving data from the General Information Commissioner of Spain from a Telegram user who intended to carry out attacks in different parts of our country.

In these messages, the suspect mentioned possible sites that could be the target of terrorist attacks.
He was referring to people, churches and streets, with clear intentions to carry out an attack in the national territory, sources in the investigation indicated.
They arrested a man who was planning terrorist attacks in Argentina.
With the information provided from Spain, the federal troops acted under the orders of the Federal Court of Venado Tuerto, headed by Aurelio Antonio Cuello Murua, Criminal Secretariat headed by Juan Cruz Ara Aimar.
They quickly obtained the identity of the person involved and the telephone subscriber he used for the actions and his place of residence.
Thus, the intervening magistrate issued a search warrant for the home located in the city of
Venado Tuerto
, to carry out the arrest of the Argentine suspect.
In addition,
a laptop and a cell phone were seized.
Both electronic devices will be assessed.
The detainee, along with the detained items, were at the disposal of the intervening judicial authority in the case titled
"Public intimidation."
At the beginning of January, the national government had arrested three suspects of terrorist activities.
They were captured in the metropolitan Aeroparque, the Buenos Aires downtown and Avellaneda

Two weeks later, federal judge María Eugenia Capuchetti ruled that there was no merit.
"At the moment, no evidence has been incorporated to corroborate the hypothesis investigated and which was part of the aforementioned accusation," the judge said in the resolution.
