Mainz – “The Dream Ship” has been an integral part of the ZDF program since 1981.
Florian Silbereisen (42) is currently sailing through the oceans as Captain Max Parger and taking viewers to fantastic holiday locations.
Not only does he have the well-known crew with him - new faces can also be seen on board the MS Amadea in every episode.
Because not only actors but also influencers have had guest appearances more and more recently, the film series has come under criticism.
Former actor Helmut Zierl (69) also has a clear opinion on this.

At Easter, ZDF viewers can accompany Florian Silbereisen and the crew to Phuket.
It has also been clear for a few days which actors are part of the cast of the “Dream Ship” Thailand episode.
Among others, an influencer will be there again – Riccardo Simonetti (30).
The first pictures show that the social media star and author plays a role in an elephant sanctuary.
He is following in the footsteps of Caro Daur (28), Cathy Hummels (36) and many other untrained actors who were able to land a job on the “dream ship”.

This is a big problem for some ex-actors. Katerina Jacob (65), for example, was annoyed by the unprofessionalism of many career changers in the television world.
But their biggest problem: “These people are taking jobs away from other people who have learned this.
I don't just stand up and say: 'I'm a hairdresser now.'"
She spoke to the
German Press Agency about the "Dream Ship" editorial team and the cast.
After all, pop star and TV captain Florian Silbereisen is not a trained actor either.
Udo Jürgens, Helene Fischer & Sarah Engels: These stars took on guest roles
The celebrity guests on the ZDF dream ship have a tradition.
One of the first pop stars to move into a cabin on the ship was Udo Jürgens.
He played himself in the 1991 New Year's episode. Helene Fischer was also there.
In 2013, the pop queen took on the role of tour guide “Franziska Stein,” who caused quite a stir on the way to Puerto Rico.
Sarah Engels joined the ZDF dream ship twice: in 2019 and in the New Year's episode in 2022 in Namibia.
And Inka Bause is also a repeat offender.
The “Bauer sucht Frau” presenter was seen eight times as the fitness trainer Inka.

"I'm pretty sure that out of her seven million followers, a million tuned in when she posted, 'Hey, I'm on the dreamboat tomorrow!'" he says.
The editorial team is therefore clever to take advantage of the reach.
Nevertheless, he sees the whole thing critically.
“It damages the profession,” he clarifies.

But he is enthusiastic about one thing: Florian Silbereisen in the role of Max Parger.
“Florian, for example, plays well.
He doesn't even claim to be able to do it better.
“A really great, likeable man,” he says.
However, the model of not including “real” actors in the cast, but social media stars and entertainers, cannot be applied to all shows, as the 69-year-old believes: “You can’t film a psychological thriller and then have three influencers in it "Many viewers emphasize: This doesn't work with the "Dream Ship" either - and have literally torn the cast apart in the past.
