To be on the safe side, the unknown people let the air out of the tires.

The driver of the SUV should not drive off.

"Risk of death!"

Munich – Is this warning really meant nicely?

There is probably some conviction behind it, but the driver of the SUV is unlikely to have been happy about the attention of his fellow citizens.

Because with the “life-threatening” note comes a lecture.

Unknown people let air out of SUV tires and warn: “Don’t drive off – danger to life!”

"Danger!

– Don’t drive off – Danger to your life!!,” the strangers put three exclamation points in the heading of the note.

And – much more annoying for the SUV driver – the air was let out of his tires.

From a purely technical point of view, everything should be fine with his car.

However, from the point of view of the note-writers, not with the fuel consumption.

The unknowns describe themselves as an “anti-luxury collective”.

They have declared war on environmentally harmful luxury cars and are teaching owners.

An approach that is not new.

So far, however, the German climate group “Tyre Extinguishers” is better known for hunting SUVs.

Climate fight against luxury cars: “Bet you’re richer than you think?”

From the perspective of SUV fighters, the “life-threatening danger” is primarily for people who cannot afford an expensive car.

From their point of view, this is primarily unfair.

“The richest 10 percent of the world’s population are responsible for over half of emissions.

Bet you're richer than you think?" the activists explain on the note.

A school of thought that the “Last Generation” has also firmly anchored in its new strategic plan.

“One man’s wealth means another man’s poverty,” they complain.

People in the global south are already losing their livelihoods or even their lives because of the climate crisis.

Arguments that are not made out of thin air - Europe is also threatened with serious consequences if the Atlantic collapses.

But good arguments are of no use to the SUV driver who doesn't get home with flat tires.

And the note writers are even aware of this.

“You’re probably very upset – it’s best to take a deep breath,” they write.

Is the pun intended?

Letting air out of tires is a criminal offense: a prison sentence of up to two years is possible

One thing is certain: the tire attacks are more than a trivial offense.

An assessment by the Hanover public prosecutor's office has shown that intentionally deflating tires can be a criminal offense.

At least the initial suspicion exists in relevant cases.

It's about damage to property and restriction of the functionality of the vehicle.

The Criminal Code provides for a prison sentence of up to two years or a fine for damage to property.
