The children of Yair Yaacov Menir Oz, who was murdered by Hamas, paid tribute to him this morning (Friday) and said that they take some solace in the fact that they suffered to the end.
"I know that now you are not suffering after spending 130 difficult days in captivity," said Yigil Yaakov, who was also kidnapped and released from Hamas captivity in the fourth round.
"I miss you dad and love you more than anything in the world, you and grandpa will watch over us in heaven."
Last night the kibbutz announced that Yaakov was murdered by Hamas and that his body is being held in Gaza.
He was kidnapped together with his partner Merav Tal who was released and left behind three children: Shir (21), Or (17) and Gil (13).
"Dad, you were everything to me, you gave me hope that you were still alive, you held me for four months," wrote Yigil to his father on social media.
"Since we don't have our laughs, our fights and hugs and meals together I miss you."
Or Yaakov also paid tribute to his father and joined the painful words.
"Dad, I have no other words to describe it like this but keep me in heaven, I love you and I will never forget you will always be in my heart," he wrote on social media.
