Here is a series of declarations which risk causing talk in the ranks of the MoDem and the presidential majority.
A little over a week after François Bayrou's refusal to enter the government for lack
of "deep agreement on the policy to follow"
, centrist parliamentarians still do not seem to agree on the line to follow.
This Friday morning, Loiret MP Richard Ramos considered that Emmanuel Macron's government was
"too right-wing"
, before expressing, in a personal capacity, his wish for an autonomous MoDem list for the European elections.

A few hours after the
“blood attack”
of the mayor of Pau, Jean-Louis Bourlanges, one of the heavyweights of the party, very strongly criticized his boss:
“François Bayrou decided without any consultation with anyone to display a disagreement of substance with the presidential majority.
And to
conclude his press release with a laconic:
“Politically inept and morally degrading”
.
Since then, the Bayrouist troops appear divided on the course of action to follow: condemn the distancing or share the questions regarding the Macronist political orientations.
Richard Ramos chose his camp this Friday, considering that the MoDem was today
“the only centrist party”
, Renaissance having
“become by choice, a moderate right party”
.
As the European elections approach and while the Macron camp is still looking for a head of the list, the parliamentarian expressed his wish for an autonomous MoDem list, the government being
"too right-wing"
.
“I would have dreamed of a large center left, a MoDem and environmentalists with us, all that in the moderates to make a real independent list for the Europeans
,” he continued.
Finally, questioned about his leader's ambitions for the presidential election, Richard Ramos confirmed the intact desire of the High Commissioner for Planning to run in 2027:
“François Bayrou, he is thinking about 2027, that's how it is.
He is thinking about the presidential election because he thinks that under the Fifth Republic, it is the presidential election that sets the tone.”
