It is finally known which celebrities will sweep across the “Let's Dance” dance floor in 2024.

But viewers are not very enthusiastic about RTL's selection.

Cologne – “Let's Dance” will soon be entering the next round.

The exact date has not yet been set, but experience shows that the dance show starts in mid-February.

Nevertheless, RTL has already announced the candidates for the new season.

But the “Let’s Dance” fans seem to be anything but impressed with the 14 celebrities.

Unfair?

Detlef D. Soost will dance at “Let’s Dance” in 2024

Who will win the “Let’s Dance” trophy in 2024?

RTL has also brought 14 celebrities onto the dance floor for the new season.

“Bergdoktor” star Mark Keller (58), Detlef Soost (53), Eva Padberg (43) and Gabriel Kelly (22) are allowed to dance.

Also there are “Lion's Den” investor Tillman Schulz (34), “7 vs. Wild” candidate Ann-Kathrin Bendixen (23) and singer Lulu (31, the entire list of “Let's Dance” candidates 2024 here).

But instead of being completely excited, fans online are now really annoyed about this year's “Let's Dance” candidates.

Many TV viewers are incomprehensible that Detlef Soost is on the list.

“Detlef is a dancer, right?

That’s a bit unfair, isn’t it?” writes a fan under the announcement post on Instagram.

“Detlef is a dancer and has a bit of an advantage.

Well” or “Detlef is simply unfair.

He should take it easy,” are two similar comments.

Already knew?

RTL tried a “Let’s Dance” spin-off with children

In 2021, the little ones on RTL also had the chance to sweep across the dance floor: In May 2021, four episodes of “Let's Dance – Kids” were released, which were able to keep up with the original in terms of cast.

As in the main show, the moderation was taken over by Daniel Hartwich and Victoria Swarovski, and the jury made up of Joachim Llambi, Motsi Mabuse and Jorge González was also on board.

However, the show did not make it onto television.

It ran on RTL's streaming platform RTL+ (then TVNow).

Too unknown, too many influencers: fans are tearing up the “Let’s Dance” cast

A second point of criticism: the celebrities' unfamiliarity.

“I don’t know more than half of them.

This loses some of its quality... unfortunately.

Why, why so many influencers?” asks a TV viewer in horror.

“I've actually never known so little, well, let's wait and see,” said another disappointed “Let's Dance” fan.

Another user draws a comparison with another RTL format: “You hardly know anyone there!!!

It's almost like jungle camp = only Z celebrities!!!".

“Somehow a real highlight is missing,” “Unfortunately, I’m not at all impressed with the cast.

No reason to watch this year,” “I only know 5. The rest of the ‘celebrities’ don’t tell me anything,” or “The dancers are better known,” are other devastating comments from fans.

Speaking of “Let’s Dance” star: Rúrik Gíslason (35) had his shining moments on “Let’s Dance” in 2021. The ex-professional footballer has now also proven himself in other formats.

Most recently, Rúrik Gíslason surprised everyone at his “Stars in the Ring” appearance.
