Miesbach – The fire brigade in the city of Miesbach was under a lot of demands last year.
Commander and board member Matthias Resch reported this at the annual general meeting.
As Matthias Resch explained in his review, the Miesbach volunteer fire department carried out 217 missions and more than 2,630 hours of operation last year.
“A new record,” explains secretary Felix Kößler.
In the district town itself, the fire department counted 189 missions for 2023, and the Miesbach forces were requested from across the region 28 times.
Exercises for emergencies
So that the volunteers are well prepared for an emergency, they practice diligently.
Last year, 2,175 training hours were collected in 18 monthly and small exercises.
The fire brigade association also took part in numerous events in the city, such as the Blue Light Day in cooperation with other aid organizations operating at the district level and the “Miesbach Advent Magic”.
In addition to the commander, secretary Felix Kößler and youth director Sebastian Kunze also reported.
The latter reminded once again of the MTA intermediate and final exams that the young people successfully completed.
Of course, district fire chief Christian Probst also knows how important training and further education is, and he was happy to hear the reports.
Among other things, he emphasized that the fire brigades must continue to prepare themselves to meet the ever-increasing demands in the event of an emergency.
Mayor Braunmiller praised the commitment of the Floriansjüngers
He also joined in the praise of Mayor Gerhard Braunmiller, who, as the head of the Miesbach fire department, also took part in the meeting of active and passive fire department members.
Braunmiller praised the great commitment and commitment of the volunteers to the safety of citizens and the well-being of the district town.
In addition, as the fire department reports, he highlighted the considered and far-sighted planning of the Miesbach fire department management committee.
This applies to both financial investments and unavoidable and upcoming new purchases.
