It's the story of an impromptu meeting between a nun and a taxi driver.
Wednesday February 14, drivers blocked Nantes airport to protest against unfair competition from VTCs.

, this movement caused a Dominican Sister of the Holy Spirit from Pontcalec, who had come by train from Lorient, to miss the plane.
After being dropped off from the Nantes train station by a friend to catch her flight, she faced an outpouring of solidarity from the demonstrators.
On her way out, she walked past them and started chatting.
“She was going to Toulouse to give her kidney to her brother.
It was a vital emergency
,” recalls Mounir Jouad to Le
Figaro
who, after speaking with his colleagues, volunteered to help him.

A miracle"
Neither one nor two, here the Catholic and the Muslim set off for a six-hour drive.
“We talked about everything and nothing.
She told me her story of a transplant with her brother
,” confides the driver who had a sleepless night.
The two protagonists also discussed religion, values and principles:
“for her, it was a miracle that someone brought her”
.
Once at his destination, Mounir Jouad was able to enjoy a small snack at the nun's host.
Before leaving an hour later and driving another 600km to arrive in Nantes on time and drop off his children at school.
Normally, he would have charged around 1600 euros for a trip like this (night rate).
But the idea of making the nun pay did not cross his mind:
“I left to give a blow tomorrow.
It’s doing a service to people
,” assures the one who was touched by the story of his passenger.
A fundraiser was launched by his colleagues to contribute to the costs and cover part of the costs.
From now on, Mounir Jouad is impatiently awaiting a phone call from the person he helped: this Friday, the person concerned must call him to tell him how the operation went.
