The Secretary of State Transformation and Public Function and former Carlos Menem official, Armando Guibert, was appointed this Friday as the new director of Banco Nación.
According to decree 146/2024 published in the last few hours in the Official Gazette, Guibert's position will be ad honorem "without prejudice to continuing to exercise his current functions as secretary" within the Chief of Staff.
Guibert was Undersecretary of Reform and Modernization during the first years of Carlos Menem's presidency and after the departure of Domingo Cavallo from the Ministry of Economy, he landed in that portfolio to take charge of the Secretariat of Public Works and Transportation.
