Is there rain of blood in the Free State today?
It's quite possible, say various meteorologists.

It occurs when there is Saharan dust in the atmosphere and it rains.

Above all, however, the weather is of course reflected in the temperatures.
And they are spring-like high just in time for the start of the weekend.
According to the German Weather Service (DWD), they reach up to 16 degrees during the day in the north of Bavaria and up to 14 degrees in Munich.
It can even be 17 degrees around Hohenpeißenberg.

A spring-like start to the weekend, then the crash – what exactly happens next?
Following the warm front, a cold front reaches the Free State.
The DWD writes: “The cold front will cross Germany until Saturday night and finally reach the extreme southeast and the Alps.”
This means that the temperatures will cool down slightly between late Friday evening and Saturday morning, February 17th.
On Saturday evening it was still around 13 degrees in the Free State.

On Sunday, February 18th, the temperature will continue to drop slightly, but in Bavaria it will remain warmer than ten degrees.

Over the weekend, temperatures in Bavaria went down from around 16 degrees to around nine degrees - a quite significant drop in temperature of seven degrees.
