A collapse occurred this morning on a construction site in Florence
, in via Mariti, on the outskirts of the city where the construction of a supermarket is underway:
a retaining wall appears to have collapsed

There were
8 people involved
, according to what the president of the Tuscany Region, Eugenio Giani, announced on social media.
"Our regional system is intervening due to a collapse of scaffolding on a construction site in Florence in via Mariti - writes Giani -. At the moment there are 8 people involved. Our health workers, firefighters and police forces are on site. The accident is occurred on a large construction site for the construction of an Esselunga supermarket, in the area of the former military bakery.
Three workers were pulled alive from the rubble.
Research in progress for the others.
The three workers extracted alive were taken to Careggi hospital, two in code red and one in yellow according to what was learned.
