The interior designer TTL from Heidenheim has apparently already had significant problems in the past few months.
The company has now filed for bankruptcy.
Update from February 16th, 3:15 p.m
.: In the past few days, several media outlets have reported on problems at the Heidenheim interior design company
TTL
.
Several branches in
Baden-Württemberg
are closed, customers are sometimes waiting for goods that have already been paid for and, in the worst case, employees have been waiting for continued payment of wages for months (see initial report).
A request for comment from
BW24
on February 14th remained unanswered, but as several media outlets are currently reporting, the company has now
officially filed for
bankruptcy at the
Aalen district court
.

The
Schwäbische Zeitung
reports on the proceedings with reference to the office of the provisional insolvency administrator.
A works meeting for around 400 employees was announced for this Friday (February 16).
Some employees had complained, including on the
kununu
platform , that management was not providing any information about the situation.
The works meeting should take place at a later date in the presence of the insolvency administrator.
TTL currently operates 27 branches in southern Germany, the majority of them in Baden-Württemberg.
Companies from Baden-Württemberg in crisis - employees have not been paid for months
First report from February 14th:
Heidenheim - The ongoing economic problems brought many companies from Baden-Württemberg to their knees last year.
The State Statistical Office reported over 900 company bankruptcies in the southwest in the first half of the year alone.
The
Heidenheim
company
TTL
is currently also suspected of being insolvent, and according to consistent media reports, problems are currently piling up.
According to its own information, the interior decorator operates 27 branches in southern Germany, the majority of them in
Baden-Württemberg
.
As the
Heidenheimer Zeitung
reports, there is currently some unrest among
TTL's approximately
400 employees .
The branch at the headquarters in Heidenheim has been closed since Saturday (February 10th) “until further notice due to illness,” as can be seen from a notice on the door.
According to the report, this is not an isolated case as other branches of the company are currently closed.
In addition, customers have been waiting in vain for ordered goods and employees have been waiting for salary payments for months.
Crisis at TTL: Employees report non-payment of wages since December
The company TTL-Mein Raumausstatter describes itself on its website as the “market leader for interior design in southern Germany” and as a “significant employer”.
At the moment, however, at least part of the workforce does not seem to be being paid, which is why the
first lawsuits have already been filed at the
Stuttgart
Labor Court regarding non-payment of wages, as a spokeswoman for the
Heidenheimer Zeitung
confirmed.
Several TTL employees also reported anonymously
to the news magazine
Focus , reporting that they had not been paid for several months.

“I received my last salary in December,” said one employee.
“My lawyer has now advised me to stop working there and to register as unemployed.” He has now found a job at a discount store and other employees are still looking for jobs.
According to the report, several employees have been waiting for their salaries for weeks and months and payment in the current month of February is currently uncertain.
Apparently several TTL branches closed - but only in Baden-Württemberg
In addition to the non-payment of wages, TTL customers are also told to wait for goods that have already been paid for, and according to the
Heidenheimer Zeitung, the
Ulm police headquarters
have now also
become involved.
The authority is investigating a company from the region and its managing director based on complaints.
The employees accuse TTL of
fraud
and
delaying insolvency
and the rents for the branches are said to have no longer been paid.
However, only the branches in Baden-Württemberg are said to be affected:

There is currently no evidence of an official initiation of insolvency proceedings for TTL, but comments on the job platform
Kununu
support the current media reports.
As of February 2024, it says that salaries are not paid and no information is provided.
“No information about how things are going with the company,” is one recent comment, for example.
According to its own information , Focus Online
was unable to reach anyone at TTL either by telephone or in writing, and a request for a statement from
BW24
has so far remained unanswered.
BW24
also recently reported on a bakery chain from Baden-Württemberg that had to close all branches due to hygiene deficiencies.
