Can you visit all of Disneyland Paris in just one day?
If our world is very small, as the dolls of the
It's a Small World
attraction sing , Mickey's is not: two parks on more than 75 hectares and more than 50 attractions, impossible to experience all in one day .
But
Le Figaro
has decided to take up the challenge by offering an itinerary to make the most of the parks with the minimum of waiting to optimize your visit.
We warn you: to achieve this performance, you will have to keep up the pace.
We have chosen a typical day where Disneyland Park, the largest, is open from 9:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., which is the most common.
But it can close earlier, especially during slower periods in winter and during the week: in this case, even if there is less waiting overall, you will have to make choices and give up on certain attractions.
Certain periods may also be marked by high attendance, particularly during school holidays.
Beware of beginner's mistakes: the major attractions quickly see their queues grow at the start of the day, so you will have to be patient to enjoy them later.
9:07 a.m.
Positioned at the entrance to Disneyland Park
The arrival time is strategic, and it is better to come a little early so as not to be trapped by the large queue that can form in front of the entrance gates when they open.
9:30 a.m.
Peter Pan's Flight
We enter via Main Street USA, which we can walk up leisurely without lingering too long either - we will have time later.
A quick photo in front of the castle and head to
Peter Pan's Flight
for a dose of stardust.
A classic with a lot of waiting, which you can hope to do in 40 minutes at this time.
Not far away, you can take a detour by
Casey Junior
, the little circus train, which is not very busy at this time.
In Phantom Manor, we discover the curse that hits the Ravenswood family.
Thibaut Déléaz / Le Figaro
10:53 a.m.
Phantom Manor
Now head to “Frontierland” to enjoy
Phantom Manor
, which is less crowded in the morning.
A little scare at the ghosts who inhabit this cursed mansion before strolling along the central lake of this Far West village.
11:28 a.m.
At table !
It is, of course, a little early, but it is the best time to have lunch, before the lunchtime rush and the endless queues in the restaurants.
You can try
Lucky Nugget Saloon
, which serves burgers in a charming western theater setting for around 25 euros.
12:16 p.m.
Pirates of the Caribbean
In Pirates of the Caribbean, pirates have taken over the place, including the fearsome Jack Sparrow.
Thibaut Déléaz / Le Figaro
We are satisfied that we leave the world of cowboys for the jungle of “Adventureland”.
You have to go through
Adventure Isle
, which you can reach by the suspension bridge, before getting lost in the meanders of the caves behind
Skull Rock
, the rock in the shape of a skull.
Then, a short boat trip in
Pirates of the Caribbean
, whose attendance drops at lunchtime while other visitors go to eat.
12:59 p.m.
It's a Small World
Here we are very close to “Fantasyland”, where you can set sail for a world tour to catchy music in
It's a Small World
and its famous animated dolls.
The attraction has a good flow and, at this time, the waiting time should not exceed (still) 30 minutes.
1:42 p.m.
Sleeping Beauty Castle
We leave “Fantasyland” by the famous
Sleeping Beauty castle
, where we climb upstairs to admire the stained glass windows and tapestries that tell the story of the princess and enjoy the view from the balcony.
A small detour through the basement, which is accessed through Merlin's shop, to come face to face with an imposing dragon, firmly chained in the cave.
But no time to go shopping.
1:57 p.m.
Main Street USA
Leaving the castle, we walk up Main Street, taking the time to admire the many details and winks found in the area.
A short detour of a minute via the entrance in the middle of the street which overlooks
Liberty Arcade
allows you to take a look at a model reproducing the inauguration of the Statue of Liberty, passing in front of the typical barber of the time Victorian.
In the middle of Main Street, at Liberty Court, you can watch the inauguration of the Statue of Liberty.
Thibaut Déléaz / Le Figaro
If you want a dessert and there are not too many people, you can be tempted by the appetizing cakes from the
Cable Car Bake Shop
, which offers a take-away counter.
That's all for now in this park, head to
Walt Disney Studios
next door.
2:41 p.m.
Crush's Coaster
Immediately on the right when leaving Studio 1, we head towards
Crush's Coaster
: the roller coaster, where you take a seat aboard a turtle shell that turns on itself, is one of the most popular from all of Disneyland.
The waiting time there often exceeds an hour, and there is no trick to escape it.
But we love him too much, so we wait patiently in line.
Crush's Coaster is one of the most popular attractions at Disneyland Paris, with high wait times at almost any time of the day.
Thibaut Déléaz / Le Figaro
3:56 p.m.
Together: a Pixar musical adventure
Now let's swim to the Studio Theater, for the all-new and exciting show
Together
, based on the Pixar films.
You must arrive at least 30 minutes in advance to secure your seat in the theater.
The 30 minutes of show are also an opportunity to take a breather - and to sit down!
- in this marathon day.
5:08 p.m.
Spider Man Web Adventures
With the final song of the show still in mind, we head towards the new “Avengers Campus” nearby, and its attraction inaugurated in 2022:
Spider Man Web Adventures
.
There may be a bit of a wait but it's worth it, and the whole family can access it.
Four per car, we team up to throw webs at small robots that have invaded the place.
Addictive, like a life-size video game: our hands are the game controllers, our movements being detected by sensors.
5:52 p.m.
Tower of Terror
After having
“prevented the destruction of the world as we know it”
, head to the
Hollywood Tower Hotel
.
No rest provided in this abandoned hotel, but a strange elevator that takes you off your seat.
The Tower of Terror
is one of the park's most popular attractions, but its wait times usually reduce at the end of the day.
It's a good time to try it out!
In the Tower of Terror, the elevator pulls us down faster than gravity.
Thibaut Déléaz / Le Figaro
6:43 p.m.
Ratatouille
Behind the tower, a small passage through the world of “Toy Story”, where we are reduced to the size of a toy in the middle of tall grass and giant objects.
If an attraction has a five minute wait, you might be tempted, but that's not often the case and most aren't worth it.
What really interests us, since we have to make choices, is the little Paris behind it, and the
Ratatouille
attraction .
At the end of the day, the waiting time has generally melted away... like the cheese in Chef Rémy's dishes!
7:20 p.m.
Star Tours and Space Mountain
Space Mountain propels visitors into space with its cannon.
Thibaut Déléaz / Le Figaro
Having regained our human size, it is time to say goodbye to Walt Disney Studios Park and return to
Disneyland Park
.
It's the best time of the day: the parade is over, many visitors have left the scene, families have capitulated and returned to the hotel to wait for the evening show.
We head to
Star Tours
, where the wait should not exceed five minutes!
A first journey into space that we double in
Space Mountain
, with, again, a reduced wait compared to the rest of the day.
On the way out, a little dive aboard the Nautilus
submarine
, which can be visited on foot without any waiting.
8:17 p.m.
Big Thunder Mountain
We cross Central Plaza to go to the last attraction of the day, the one that has caught our eye since our arrival this morning:
Big Thunder Mountain
, the mine train.
And we did well to wait: there are a lot fewer people!
8:58 p.m.
At table
Before attending the nightly shows, we finally take a well-deserved meal break.
We recommend, since we are in the area, the
Coco restaurant, Casa de la familia
, which serves Mexican specialties.
A good quality/quantity/price ratio, and you can pre-order on the app, which (again) saves time.
9:42 p.m.
Spectacular end to the day
It’s time to position yourself for the nightly shows.
“Central Plaza”, in front of the castle, is often crowded but that’s not a big deal.
The main thing is not to be close to the castle, but in alignment.
The drone show, by the way, looks much better when seen from further away on Main Street.
We choose to stand halfway in the street, passing through the arcades to avoid the crowds and exiting through the middle door.
Let's go for a 30-minute show, first with breathtaking drone figures with the
Disney Electrical Sky Parade
then with
fireworks
accompanied by projections on the castle, to the rhythm of the best-known songs from the Disney catalog.
The new drone show, Disney Electrical Sky Parade, is visible even from Main Street.
Thibaut Déléaz / Le Figaro
“Disneyland Park will now close its doors. »
Heading towards the exit, we can take advantage of the little strength we have left to stroll through the shops on Main Street, which will remain open for a while.
And then it's time to leave.
Sad and exhausted, obviously, about this exciting day that is coming to an end.
But not unhappy to find his bed to recover.
