Mark Medlock has lived largely secluded from the public on Sylt for years.
Now the former DSDS winner is being treated badly.
Sylt – Mark Medlock (now 45) was at the top.
In 2007, the Hesse won the fourth season of “Deutschland sucht den Superstar”, greeted him several times from the top of the German charts, and people rallied around the Frankfurt native who grew up in Offenbach.
But the crash came suddenly and the scandals piled up.
“I was desperate, I was aggressive, I panicked – violently.
Anything you think about, then you take drugs.
“I’m absolutely disappointed in a lot of people,” he
once told RTL about one of his setbacks, according to
vip.de.

Medlock took a drastic step: he withdrew from the public eye and stayed with Cornelia Reckert, who was almost 20 years older than him, on Sylt.
That was more than ten years ago.
The hotel and real estate mogul acts as his manager and guardian.
She met Medlock in 2009 on the sidelines of a private concert.
“I see my son in Mark,” she once explained, according to
the Stuttgarter Zeitung
.
The feeling is mutual.
“I have the feeling that Conny is my mother” and “I have entrusted her with my life,” he explained to
Bild
in 2012 .
“She knows all my private shit and that’s what connects us.”

Mark Medlock, now 45, remains almost consistent in his withdrawal from the public eye.
In between, he occasionally released new music and gave selected performances, for example in 2015 in “Cherif's Restaurant” on Sylt.
But the big comeback is a long time coming.
In response to RTL's request in 2022, he said: “I was given the information that you would like to report on me.
I'm not interested in that and ask for your understanding.
Anyway, thanks for asking, but I’ve completely withdrawn into my private life.”
Now social media channels give the opposite impression.
“markmedlock.official” can be found on Instagram, with more than 1,500 followers, and there is also a TikTok account with the same name linked there, which is followed by around 7,800 people.
“Hi my loves.
“I’m back,” is the description.
A video uploaded on February 1st is fixed.
“Do you want to hear my new single?
Remove the plus and follow me,” fans are asked there.
But it doesn't take much Google effort to determine: the interview is actually ancient.

His protector Cornelia Reckert has had enough now.
She spoke up on Facebook and wrote: “As you know, Mark Medlock has lived with me on Sylt for almost 13 years and doesn't make anything public about music anymore.
For about four weeks, a fraudster has created a fake profile on TikTok and is pretending to be Mark, as you can see in the picture below.” As the TikTok comments show, many people are falling for it.
Medlock is treated badly - he and Reckert don't want to put up with it any longer.
Reckert: “We reported it on TikTok and filed a criminal complaint with the Westerland police.” The fact that the TikTok account is a fake can also be seen from the fact that there are no current recordings to be found there, just some Internet finds.
Reckert's Facebook profile, on the other hand, is almost certainly real; it has existed for more than ten years and is full of private photos, including those of Mark Medlock.
In addition, posts from your hotel are often shared there and vice versa.
The woman from Sylter further explains the TikTok fake: “This person promises some new music and concerts as well as videos and live streams.
This is fraud and the person wants to make fraudulent money using Mark’s name.” She calls for people to share her tip.
May Mark Medlock, who so needs the quiet life after his time in the spotlight, continue to enjoy it.

However, another DSDS star from yesteryear is back in public.
