A large contingent of emergency services extinguished a burning warehouse in Putzbrunn on Friday night.
The damage is likely to be in the hundreds of thousands.
Putzbrunn
- A resident discovered flames from the roof of a warehouse in the Putzbrunn industrial area on Thursday night.
And immediately alerted the fire department.
The major operation began at 10:21 p.m.
Fire brigade has to open flat roof with photovoltaic system
Forces from the Putzbrunn, Haar and Grasbrunn volunteer fire departments were brought together to the operations center at the scene of the fire on Hermann-Oberth-Straße.
They fought the fire and had to open the flat roof, on which a photovoltaic system was installed, reports the operations center.
The hall, in which pallets were also stored, could still be partially cleared.
130 forces deployed
The volunteer fire brigades, led by Putzbrunner commander Daniel Deml, were deployed with 98 personnel.
In addition, the district fire inspection, the ABC train, the professional fire brigade with a large fan and the Technical Relief Agency (THW).
Altogether around 130 people.
The fire brigade's operation ended shortly before 3 a.m.
The THW still had to shore up the hall and was only able to leave shortly before 7 a.m.
Police are investigating
The police are investigating the cause of the fire and the extent of the damage.
