The kiosk on Weihenstephaner Berg no longer exists.
But now there are concrete plans for the empty building.
Freising
– Almost 40 years ago, the installation of a kiosk at the foot of the Weihenstephaner Berg was applied for and approved.
The shop quickly became a Freising institution.
The building at Veitsmüllerweg 3 is now empty.
But not for long: the city's building committee has now approved the installation of a fast food restaurant with a toilet and kitchen on the ground floor as well as an associated operations manager's apartment on the first floor.
The building committee said that the house is a two-story building without a basement and is registered as an individual monument with external dimensions of 11.25 by seven meters.
Use of the building is desirable
After the approval of a kiosk in 1985, a fast food restaurant is now to be opened.
The opening times are Monday to Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and on Sunday from 12 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
According to the concept, the food can be taken away or eaten inside the dining room; there is no request for a free serving area outside the building.
Important: A delivery service is excluded because there is no real parking space available.
Once a week, goods are delivered in a small van for 30 to 60 minutes.
Parking space needs must be replaced
The administration was positive about the project: public use at this point was desirable from the perspective of urban redevelopment, the project corresponded to the redevelopment goals and was suitable for revitalizing the newly designed forecourt to the linden cellar staircase.
According to the city's garage and parking space regulations, the project creates a need for 3.25 parking spaces.
In fact, there is no evidence of parking space on the property, but fictitiously there are already 2.15 parking spaces due to the original use.
The additional parking space requirement of 1.1 parking spaces could not be covered either on the property or on a suitable property nearby, which is why the city councilors approved a transfer and thus also the building application.
