Between now and 2035, 20 million square meters remain to be built in the Grand Paris Express station areas.
Projects entrusted for the most part to private developers since the Société du Grand Paris, which is piloting the future metro ring road around the capital, only has one million square meters to build.
So, what place for green spaces in these projects?
“We hear, from planners or promoters, significant greenwashing operations,” reveals Stéfan Bove, urban planner at the Paris Region Institute.
We must see how much surface area will actually be planted.
Planting in pots does not have the same effects as planting in the ground.
It's the same problem with urban forests in Paris, for example, it's better than nothing but it will never bring the same benefits as the Fontainebleau forest.
