It's a discreet revolution sweeping the Seine.
On its waters, the “Paris Trocadéro”, one of the cruise ships of the company Les Vedettes de Paris, no longer emits noise or pollution.
It is now running on electric energy.
“For the Games, we can be delighted to have decarbonized our fleet,” smiles Fernand Bozzoni, its president.
This step towards greening the fleet was driven by the company's general director – and her daughter – Marie Bozzoni: “It took me a while to understand it.
But global warming means that in Paris it will be 40 degrees in summer.
In the middle of high season.
And my clients will prefer to take refuge in air-conditioned museums rather than come to us, she admits, lucidly.
Worse, if the level of the Seine drops due to drought, there won't even be any water left to put our boats in.”
