Taylor Swift on Friday, February 16, donated $100,000 for the family of the woman killed this week in Kansas City in the shootings that broke out during the parade in honor of the local American football team, victorious in the Super Bowl.
Two donations of $50,000 were made under the name of the pop star, in a relationship with a Kansas City Chiefs player, on a fundraising site set up for the family of Elizabeth Lopez-Galvan.
A member of Taylor Swift's entourage then confirmed to the specialist magazine Variety that these two donations did indeed come from the singer.
In a message posted with one of the donations, the latter expressed its
“deepest condolences”

, is the companion of Travis Kelce, star player of the Chiefs, and has attended many of the team's matches this season, including the Super Bowl.
$250,000 in donations
The crowdfunding page, opened Thursday, showed nearly $250,000 in donations at midday Friday, with some 2,700 donors.
The shooting that erupted near the Kansas City train station as the parade drew to a close also injured 22 people, many of them children.
Three people were arrested, including two minors, according to the police who specified that these shots were caused by a
“dispute between several people”

When the shots rang out, hundreds of thousands of people had just attended the parade of the Chiefs, crowned on Sunday at the Super Bowl, the final of the American football championship in the United States, by beating the San Francisco 49ers.
