Prince Harry's interview at the Invictus Games training camp was actually eagerly awaited.
But he gave little information about the condition of King Charles, who was suffering from cancer.
Vancouver – After a seemingly harmless prostate operation, the British palace surprisingly announced that King Charles III.
(75) is suffering from cancer.
What type it is and further details about its condition and treatment have so far been withheld from the public.
For this reason, many have pinned all their hopes on finding out more from Prince Harry (39) in an interview.
But the monarch's son skillfully avoids the questions.
“Stay between us”: Prince Harry does not want to comment on King Charles' health
Shortly after learning of his cancer diagnosis, the 39-year-old, who lives in California, made his way to Great Britain to support his father.
But it was a quick visit that didn't necessarily give Prince Harry a reputation as a worried son - his 24-hour stay was hotly debated.
As part of a visit to the Invictus Games training camp in Vancouver, Prince Harry spoke to a journalist, but in his answers he apparently avoided divulging details.
When asked by Will Reeve (31) about his visit to England, the cancer and the feelings associated with it, Prince Harry is talkative - emphasizing how much he loves his family and that he is happy to have taken the long journey.
When the reporter asked about King Charles' health, things looked different.
“It stays between him and me,” Prince Harry states briefly but firmly.
Health and relationship with Charles: Prince Harry avoids questions
The journalist doesn't give up and tries a differently worded question.
He wants to know whether the shock diagnosis can strengthen the relationship between father and son - whether it can have a positive effect on family cohesion.
Prince Harry by no means refuses to elaborate, but keeps it general.
He avoids the question by trying to avoid direct reference to his own family.
“Yes, I’m sure,” he says, and then emphasizes: “I see this every day in families – the power of the family coming together as a unit.”

Despite the broken relationship with his family, it was clear to Prince Harry that after the shock diagnosis he would “immediately get on the plane” and be there for his family.
Apart from King Charles, he hardly saw anyone from his inner circle there.
As one reporter pointed out, Prince William “would rather shoot himself” than meet Harry.
