Two cars crashed into each other near Zorneding.

An injured person and significant property damage are the result of an accident in Zorneding.
Three drivers react immediately and take exemplary care of the victim.
Zorneding
- According to the police, a 36-year-old from Zornedinger wanted to turn from Lärchenstrasse onto state road 2081 in his Citröen on Thursday, February 15th.
A 72-year-old who also comes from Zorneding was driving there.
He wanted to follow the road from the B 304 towards Markt Schwaben.
The 36-year-old drove into the junction and disregarded the 72-year-old's right of way.
Despite evasive maneuvers, the collision of the cars could not be prevented
“He tried to prevent the accident by taking evasive action, but in the end a collision between the two cars could no longer be prevented.”
said a police spokesman.
There was material damage to both vehicles totaling around 17,000 euros.
The 72-year-old's Dacia was no longer drivable and had to be towed away.
As a result of the accident, the senior complained of back and wrist pain.
The crew of an ambulance that was called found him to be in need of treatment, which is why he was then taken to a hospital.
Criminal proceedings have been initiated against Zornedinger (36).
The Zorneding fire department was on site to regulate traffic and to stop leaking operating materials.
The junction had to be temporarily closed while the traffic accident was being investigated.
The police initiated criminal proceedings against the 36-year-old Zornedinger on suspicion of negligent bodily harm.
“Particularly positive is the exemplary behavior of three drivers in oncoming traffic, who stopped immediately after the accident, secured the scene of the accident, called the emergency number and looked after those involved in the accident until the emergency services arrived,” says a spokesman for the Poing police.
