The McDonald's restaurant at Wolfratshausen S-Bahn station has been closed since November.

Further use: is not in sight.

The railway is looking for a new restaurateur.

Wolfratshausen - Burgers, fries and the like are no longer available: The McDonald's fast food restaurant at Wolfratshausen train station has been closed since the end of November.

And since then, the shop in the most frequently visited terminus of the Munich S-Bahn network after the airport has been empty.

The owner is Deutsche Bahn.

Shortly after the fast food restaurant closed, a railway spokesman told our newspaper when asked that a successor for the burger giant was being sought.

When asked again whether there are already plans for a new shop or restaurant, the railway press office replied: “We are currently still looking for a new tenant for the space.” A long-term tenancy would be sought.

New restaurant at Wolfratshausen train station?

“Food concept ideal,” says Deutsche Bahn

“In our opinion, a food concept is ideal for the area.” However, the railway is also “open to other ideas and concepts”.

The former tenant has already completed the demolition of the property.

The railway's travel center and video travel center, both of which are located in the station building, will continue to operate.

As reported, it's not just McDonald's that is closed: the stationery and bakery branches are also closed.
