Nikki Haley wants to be president.
Her son is in the election campaign and his insults are reminiscent of competitor Donald Trump.
Washington, DC – Donald Trump wants to become president again in November.
He is currently well ahead of his competitor Nikki Haley in the party's internal polls.
His controversial positions appear to be well received by Republicans.
While Trump advertises that he wants to continue a fundamental reassessment of the NATO defense alliance, Haley criticizes his statements.
“You don't side with a criminal who kills his political opponents,” said the former governor of South Carolina, referring to Vladimir Putin, in an interview with the US broadcaster CBS on
Sunday
.
“You don't take the side of someone who invades a country.” Half a million people have died or been injured because of Putin.
“The last thing we want is to side with Russia.” At the election campaign event in Haley's home state, Trump also announced again that he wanted to deport people on a large scale.

Nikky Haley's son attacks opponents hard
Now Haley is apparently also having problems because of her son Nalin's behavior.
22-year-old Nalin Haley accompanies his mother on the campaign trail and doesn't mince his words when it comes to his mother's opponents.
At a weekend event in Gilbert, South Carolina, he nicknamed Senator Scott “Senator Judas,” reports The
New York Times
.
"Many of them were in New Hampshire, and I saw Trump standing side by side with Senator Judas - excuse me, Senator Scott," he told the audience as he introduced his mother.
Haley was the one who brought Scott to the Senate in 2012 when she was governor of South Carolina.
Scott is now a key surrogate for Trump in her home state.
Haley compared another of his mother's former rivals who was fully pro-Trump, Vivek Ramaswamy, to "Pennywise," the clown from the movie "It."
"Pennywise is a lot less scary, a lot less of a clown, and he's got a lot better hairline than him," he said of his mother's former rival.
The film is an adaptation of Stephen King's horror novel of the same name.
“Nalin, I’ll deal with you later,” Haley said at the event in Summerville, South Carolina.

Haley's son calls for expulsion from MAGA
Haley's son even got into a fight with Trump himself in January.
He responded to a comment from Trump in which he called for Haley supporters to be “permanently expelled from the MAGA camp.”
Nalin Haley countered and called for Trump to be expelled.
This makes the ex-president his opponent's biggest fundraiser to date.

Trump wants to bring his daughter-in-law into the party leadership
But the race for the top Republican candidate for the US election still continues.
The former president has now recommended his daughter-in-law Lara Trump for the Republican Party leadership.
Trump announced on Monday evening that she should take over the co-chairmanship of the Republican National Committee (RNC).
“Lara is an extremely talented communicator and is committed to everything MAGA (Make America Great Again) stands for,” Trump wrote in the statement.
“She told me that she wanted to take on this challenge.” The 41-year-old is married to Trump’s son Eric.
She previously appeared as a political commentator on the right-wing US broadcaster Fox News, among others.
This would give Trump a strong ally at the top of his party.
