This Friday marks the start of the week-long closure of five stations at the end of line 8 (west side of Paris).
Since this Friday morning and until Thursday February 22, all stations between Balard and La Motte-Picquet-Grenelle are closed due to renovation of three track devices.
The temporary terminus is now located at La Motte-Picquet-Grenelle.
Concretely, these are the Balard, Lourmel, Boucicaut, Félix Faure and Commerce stations which are completely closed to the public.
[#works #Line8] Anticipate your movements on the line!

The Régie Autonome des Transports Parisiens (RATP) warns that “traffic (of the metro, editor’s note) could be disrupted with the risk of very high crowds”, and also invites users “to anticipate [their] trips on the line”.
Replacement buses put in place
To compensate for this absence of metros on the section, replacement buses have been set up in both directions at the usual metro times with crossings “every 3 to 10 minutes depending on the time of day”.
And on the metro side, the RATP offers the following alternative routes:
From the west of the line, take the T3A at Balard to join line 12 and the RER C towards the center of Paris, or join the east of the line at Porte de Charenton or Porte Dorée,
In the center of the line, take connections with line 12 to reach Balard,
From the east of the line, take the T3A at Porte de Charenton or Porte Dorée to reach Balard.
As a reminder, line 14 is completely closed due to renovation work until February 26.
