The security situation in Regensburg is tense.

Recently, various crimes have increased.

A judge has now imposed a sensational sentence.

Regensburg – The security situation in parts of Regensburg city center has recently been reported more frequently.

In particular, a letter from a school principal to parents stating that children should no longer travel alone caused a stir.

There was also an outcry after a young woman was allegedly raped by refugees - but it later turned out that she had probably made up the incident.

Nevertheless, after many different smaller and larger crimes, especially around Regensburg main station, a debate has broken out about security on site.

In the course of this , bild.de

now reported

on a sensational judgment before the district court in Regensburg.

Judge sentences Tunisian to 18 months in prison - without parole

The man in question is 28 years old and originally from Tunisia.

He only came to Germany in the summer of 2023 after his asylum application was

rejected in Italy, reports

bild.de.

During the short time he was in Regensburg, he then racked up various crimes.

Accordingly, he was caught with drugs, stealing beer and a bicycle, and the 28-year-old was also accused of sexual harassment.

In court, the judge in charge, Zois Charitopoulos (41), described him as an intensive offender - and sentenced him to 18 months in prison without parole for the various offenses.

The main reason for this was that the court assumed that the Tunisian would go into hiding and commit further crimes if given probation.

According to bild.de

, the district judge explained to the defendant that it would not be possible for normal citizens to be released from custody now

.

Repeat offender convicted – threat of deportation, but difficult

According to the report, the Tunisian is obliged to leave the country and is threatened with deportation.

But this is likely to be difficult because the 28-year-old has no papers.

So first we go to prison.
