Enter here, Rino Della Negra.
The ceremony which will take place at the Pantheon this Wednesday February 21 will not leave aside his sacrifice.
This Argenteuil resident who died at the age of 20, son of Italian immigrants and footballer at Red Star, will be represented at the mausoleum of the “great men” by a commemorative plaque, with the names of his entire group of resistance fighters with whom he fought and with whom he died shot in 1944, at Mont Valérien.
Having gone underground to escape the Compulsory Labor Service, he then joined the Francs-tireurs partisans (FTP) of Argenteuil (Val-d'Oise) and participated in around fifteen operations before being arrested in November 1943 .
This national recognition comes at the same time as the remains of Missak Manouchian entered the Pantheon, exactly 80 years after his death, who will receive the ultimate tribute from the nation, with his wife, Mélinée.
