Will it be demolished?

There are rumors of demolition surrounding the so-called Flamingo Kiosk at Hellabrunn Zoo.
The neighboring allotment garden association takes care of this.
The gardeners of the South-West Allotment Garden Association 002 are worried.
The gardeners have heard that the kiosk at Hellabrunn Zoo, which is right next to their garden, is to be demolished.
Due to dilapidation.
Instead, a bicycle parking area is planned.
How and when exactly the demolition will begin is unclear.
But: “That is probably planned for next spring,” reports a gardener to the Untergiesing-Harlaching district committee (BA).
Kiosk shields gardeners from zoo visitors
The kiosk is important to gardeners for several reasons.
On the one hand, it represents a social meeting place, said one of the gardeners at the BA.
The kiosk is also a kind of barrier against drivers who want to drive particularly close to the zoo.
“You know how it is, there is Halligalli there on Sunday!” The kiosk building would at least offer the garden club some protection against the crowds of visitors.
The district politicians have not yet been able to provide any further information.
In November it was said that the BA was completely surprised by the plans.
This was explained by Norbert Weigler (Greens), chairman of the mobility committee.
“We haven’t heard anything about it yet!” And it also seems unclear where the demolition rumor comes from.
The zoo administration had not heard of the plans.
And the responsible department for labor and economics said at the time: “The department knows nothing about the rumor you described.”
There is a preliminary inspection for demolition
But now it suddenly sounded completely different.
Weigler now spoke in the BA about a preliminary review by the city, but there was no final decision yet.
As soon as this has fallen, the BA would be informed and could get involved.
BA man Andreas Babor (CSU) already stated that he was “only semi-satisfied” with the choice of location anyway.
He suggested not to commit to the current location, but to also consider other locations.
Because none of the BA politicians want the kiosk to go away completely.
