Sarah Engels tore her cruciate ligament during her winter vacation with her family.
Now she contacted her fans after her operation.
Update from February 16, 2024:
Sarah Engels is now reporting to her Instagram fans with a health update.
The former DSDS finalist survived her cruciate ligament surgery well: “A cruciate ligament tear from skiing wasn't the plan, but sometimes life has other plans.
The operation went well and the biggest step was achieved.”
But Sarah Engels is sure: “The path will certainly not be easy and I am also afraid of being slowed down in so many things.
On the other hand, I know that I won't give up on getting back there."
She also thanks her fans for their many well wishes.
That gave her a lot of strength.
Her family was also by her side the whole time.
“I have the strongest support I could ever wish for, Julian.
I love you and need you so much.
Thank you for being here,” says Sarah Engels.

Tux - paragliding over snow-covered mountains, fun on the slopes and a cozy hut stop: Sarah Engels (31) is currently enjoying her family vacation in snow-covered Tyrol.
Of course, the former DSDS finalist also lets her fans take part in the winter celebrations - but the fun ended abruptly in the hospital.

For a few days now, Sarah Engels' 1.8 million Instagram followers have been able to watch the musician on a skiing vacation - and the Engels family is clearly having fun in the snow.
“Today we’re already skiing on the red slope – we’re getting better and better and it’s really working out!” said Sarah Engels proudly on Tuesday (February 13, 2024).
In the evening the next Instagram highlight: Sarah Engels and Julian paragliding into the sunset.
In between, she posted her trip to the ice caves, a sweet photo with her son Alessio (8) and a few couple selfies with Julian (30), in which she swore she would love him forever.
But then everything suddenly went quiet on Sarah Engels' Instagram account: Now fans know the reason.
The musician was seriously injured.

On Wednesday (February 14, 2024) Sarah Engels suddenly posted a photo of her splinted right leg.
“Sometimes everything goes differently than planned – the cruciate ligament is worn out and I have to have an operation,” the musician writes about the photo and adds a crying smiley.
However, she does not reveal exactly how Sarah Engels injured herself and tore her cruciate ligament.
Sarah Engels was seriously injured during her winter vacation with her family.
As she reveals in her Instagram stories, she even has to have surgery.
