That was the message of the Social Democratic Freising member of the Bundestag Andreas Mehltretter at the Political Ash Wednesday of the Langenbach SPD local branch in the Alten Wirt.
“It is absurd to blame the coalition in Berlin for the misery in the world,” emphasized Mehltretter.
On the contrary: crises have been overcome.
The Social Democrat did not skimp on criticism of the opposition in the Bundestag.
The Bavarian “Inn Minister” Hubert Aiwanger got an “extra fat”.
The fact that the chairman of the CDU/CSU parliamentary group, Friedrich Merz, denies the willingness to perform of many of those who receive citizens' benefit has nothing to do with respect for those who cannot work due to a physical handicap or illness, said Mehltretter.
Those who applied for it did so because the wages were too low.
“The Union cannot fool people by warning about the wage gap in citizens’ benefits but rejecting minimum wage increases,” he said.
Mehltretter also dealt against coalition partners
But Mehltretter also gave the coalition partner a pass.
Finance Minister Robert Habeck, for example, introduced the heating law against the advice of the SPD too quickly and without explanations.
It is clear that we have to move away from oil and gas, including when it comes to heating private households.
But: You need people's trust that they can afford a new heating system.
“If that’s not the case, people get scared,” explained Mehltretter.
Habeck should have known that, according to his assessment.
The Minister of Economics has done the heating transition a “disservice”.

A Bavarian economics minister actually has to make sure that companies and businesses are doing well.
However, Hubert Aiwanger has so far only been noticed as a “screamer at the regulars’ table”.
He once said that there were people in the system who wanted the pubs to close so that politics could no longer take place at the regulars' table.
The question “More vegetarian food in the canteens?” is interpreted by Aiwanger as follows: “The government wants to ban meat from us.” Markus Söder has a “public house minister” in his cabinet who simply doesn't care about the future of Bavarian companies.
Mehltretter calls opposition “schizophrenic”
As an example, Mehltretter cited the fact that the traffic light had passed a law in the Bundestag that was intended to provide tax relief for businesses and companies.
What is the opposition doing?
She is blocking this. At the same time, she is writing letters to Olaf Scholz, demanding tax relief for companies.
“Schizophrenic, that’s the word for it in psychiatry,” said Mehltretter.
The traffic light still has a lot to do in the next few years.
The first steps towards basic child security should be taken and the Collective Bargaining Act should be implemented in favor of a solidarity-based society, as the SPD envisions.
There is no place for hatred and agitation, not even for politicians who are anti-human and anti-constitutional.
