Mare Cirko is a fashion enthusiast, here in the first episode of the new season on ProSieben.

She is studying photo design, now she wants to be in front of the camera: The student Mare Cirko (22) from Gmund is taking part in the casting show “Germany's Next Top Model”.
Gmund – Heidi Klum would describe it as “editorial”: We’re talking about Mare Cirko from Gmund, who has been appearing on the current season of “Germany’s Next Top Model” on Pro Sieben since last Thursday.
“Mare”, like the Italian word for “sea”, not like the Bavarian word for “Marie”.
The 22-year-old photo design student does not correspond to the commercial ideal of beauty, but has her own special look - "editorial", as Heidi Klum calls those "meedchen" based on editorial shoots for glossy magazines, which are artistic due to their recognition value ambitious shoots come into question.
The Gmund native likes to stand out from the crowd: “I dress every day as if it were my last,” she says in her introduction video for the casting show.
Sometimes gothic, sometimes hippie – the main thing is unusual.
Anyone who has ever seen her at the checkout at the Rewe market in Gmund or in the Asian restaurant Mr. Vu in Bad Wiessee, where Mare works alongside her studies at Munich University, can confirm this: from blonde to blue to pink, there are There is no hair color that the Croatian woman from Gmund has not worn before.
Fashion is her great interest.
She says she spends about eight hours every Sunday creating outfits, staging them and then taking photos.
So it's no wonder that she is now trying to find her way into the world of fashion.
Will she make it to the final?
After all, Mare Cirko is not the only long-legged bird of paradise this season.
If not, it probably won't be too bad of a disappointment for them.
Because she doesn't just compete to become a model.
She wants to convey something to other young people: “My message is: Just be yourself. Do what you feel like doing, you only have this one life.” And that’s not meant to be pleasure-seeking or irresponsible: Cirko wants to encourage people to follow their own path to go and not be dependent on the judgment of others.
If it doesn't work in front of the camera, then behind it: Anyone who was able to get one of the coveted photo design study places at the Munich University of Applied Sciences is considered to be an above-average talented photography candidate.
Not a bad prerequisite for a career in the fashion industry either.
