He still can't believe it.
"This is completely crazy!"
confides Sébastien Vauxion who does not hide his pleasure.
The Les Grandes Tables du monde association has just awarded him the title of best pastry chef in the world 2024. A recognition which is not really surprising when we know the creativity of the two-star chef at Sarkara, the first gourmet dessert restaurant, located in the K2 Palace, in Courchevel *.
If the season leaves him little free time to enjoy a Sunday lunch, he is looking forward to the idea of a meal shared with his children around
“chicken and fries with lots of butter, thyme, rosemary, bay leaf… And, in the stuffing, bread which will soak up the cooking juices.”
No dessert, but pancakes prepared around 4 p.m. for the evening.
We insist.

The answer doesn't take long:
"In winter, it's an autumn leaf with cocoa meringue and chocolate mousse, and in summer, a strawberry with pistachio."
