Minister Mai Golan to MK Merav Ben Ari: "Your croaking bothers me"/Knesset Channel
A photo of the Minister for Social Equality and Promotion of the Status of Women, Mai Golan, taken from the cover of a CD called "Slave Queen" was circulated in the last day on social networks.
The minister responded today (Friday) to the photo and said that an appeal was made in Photoshop on the body of another woman.
"That's how it is at the age of 'stupid ten' doing stupid things. Not ashamed, not apologizing."
She also added and criticized the Israeli left: "Liberals and feminists are important that the right is reserved only for them."
Minister Golan published a response today in a tweet on the social network X (formerly Twitter) to her photo that became viral on social networks in the last day.
The minister said that it is not her body, but her face that was edited on a photo of another woman's body.
"Yes, the face is mine (I liked taking pictures from a young age) everything else a little less," she said.

To the tweet itself, Minister Golan added a variety of fictitious photos, in which her face was added in an edit to the bodies of other women, including a photo of her as a big wave in the movie "Wonder Woman", a photo of her as a woman in a hijab and a photo of her as an employee at the "Shefa Issachar" supermarket from the "Coupa Rashith" series "The next time you get excited by one or another Photoshop image, write to me and I'll send you many more!", she added and wrote.
Regarding the photo in question, Golan said that "Yes, over 20 years ago I approved the use of my face for a CD cover as part of a completely humorous song that was published; this is how it is at the age of 'stupid ten' to do stupid things."
The minister added and stated that "Try and shame me for that - you really won't succeed. I'm not ashamed, I don't apologize, and I don't regret anything I've done. I was a brave, rebellious girl and above all without intention; a girl at risk - who did what she thought was right at that moment to survive. Everything That I ever did brought me to be who I am today. Nonsense too."

Golan continued her words and criticized the surfers who posted her picture.
"Glad you found such 'important' things to deal with during wartime."
The minister criticized what she claims is a double standard.
Golan added and said that this is a double standard, because according to her, if a similar picture had been published by a politician from the Israeli left, such as Yair Lapid or Merav Michaeli, "somehow it would not have created interest, just as it has not created until now".
The minister went on to criticize the Israeli left.
"Today, women and men wear what they want, take pictures how they want and when they want, and that's fine - but the 'liberals', the 'pluralists' and all the 'feminists' think that this right is reserved only for them, and want to interfere in my life," she said, "You are welcome to continue enjoying wallowing in the mud. It really bothers me like the skin of garlic."
