Green roof, green wall, plantings in the ground where possible… the Grand Paris Express stations will integrate more greenery into already very dense spaces.
These stations will transform urban landscapes.
However, since the start of the projects, particularly with the Covid-19 pandemic, the place devoted to nature in the city has been reviewed.
“We have evolved a lot in recent years in terms of environmental criteria.
However, the projects already date from 2010. Some have been adapted.
Even if around the stations, we have extremely restricted sites: there are firefighter accesses, passenger accesses and different mobility options,” describes Georgina Mendès, responsible for public spaces and station areas at the Société du Grand Paris ( SGP).
