Highlights: “We will keep fighting”. Protesters positioned themselves at the district CSU's New Year's reception, but remained peaceful - unlike those in Biberach on Wednesday. The fact that the speakers in Kaltenbrunn always spoke of farmers and representatives of other sectors caused dissatisfaction among the protesters. This now results in a press release from a group that calls itself “Citizens' Movement Hand in Hand for our Country” “We are easily over 5,000 people in the groups,” says the contact person for the Tegernsee Valley.

Protest in Kaltenbrunn: It wasn't just farmers who wanted to make a statement on the sidelines of the CSU New Year's reception.

They feel that they have been portrayed inaccurately and in some cases misunderstood: That is why the contact person for the Tegernseeer Ta has spoken out with a press release on behalf of the protesters of the past few weeks.

Tegernsee Valley - Protesters positioned themselves at the district CSU's New Year's reception, but remained peaceful - unlike those in Biberach on Wednesday.

The fact that the speakers in Kaltenbrunn always spoke of farmers and representatives of other sectors who had already joined the farmers at that point (we reported repeatedly) caused dissatisfaction among the protesters.

This now results in a press release from a group that calls itself “Citizens' Movement Hand in Hand for our Country” and for which Monika Peiß is named as the contact person for the Tegernsee Valley.

She also helped organize the protest trips around the lake.

Next protest trip around Tegernsee on February 24th

For outsiders: “Hand in Hand for our Country” is a merger and, according to Peiß, an association with Markus Huber from Bad Feilnbach at the top, so to speak.

He helped organize the demo on Theresienwiese in January.

In the Miesbach district, WhatsApp groups such as “Tegernsee Valley in the Resistance” bear the “Hand in Hand” logo.

They want to continue the protest, which is primarily directed against the traffic lights.

On Saturday, February 24th, a tour of Tegernsee will once again send a signal to distant Berlin.

Full broadside against the traffic light government

To make it clear what they are about, here is the press release entitled “From farmers’ protest to citizens’ movement”.

It says: “The aim of all protests is to get the politicians of the traffic light government to rethink so that the misguided policies can be corrected – for the benefit of their own population.” Examples given include “going it alone with a forced climate policy, drastic increases in energy prices, waste of tax money, constantly new taxes and savings in the wrong place”.

All of this would burden “farmers and traders with unnecessary time and immense additional costs”.

In addition, an “impoverishment of a growing part of the population” is noted and “uncontrolled mass immigration” is criticized.

Although state revenues are higher than ever, the government is saving on its own population and “prefers to spend billions of euros abroad”.

The repeatedly cited cycle paths in Peru (we reported in the cover section) can also be found here as an example.

In short: The press release doesn't do anything good at the traffic lights, but also includes the previous governments in the criticism: "Decades of unwillingness to reform."

Questions not welcome - no comment on protest against asylum accommodation

Peiß is quoted verbatim: “That’s why we will continue to fight.

With decent means and of course without violence.” The self-employed person, described as the “people's spokesperson”, is taciturn when asked.

She does not want to say anything further about the form of the protest against the asylum accommodation in Warngau - there was an intensive call for participation in the local chat groups - nor about the associated banners.

When asked about an active demarcation from the AfD, only the press release is quoted: “Neither right nor left.” Peiß only comments on the number of supporters: “We are easily over 5,000 people in the groups,” although the circle of supporters is higher assessed.

It is difficult to estimate how large the number of people are who only read the chats, as well as the number of multiple members.
