A couple of weeks after its arrival on the US market, there are over 1000 native apps for Apple's new augmented reality viewer, the Vision Pro. The numbers were made official on X by Greg Joswiak, the company's head of marketing of Cupertino.

The arrival of the device, a competitor to Meta's Quest 3, has reignited the race for augmented and virtual reality which, after the launch of the metaverse, had fallen asleep in favor of artificial intelligence.

According to IDC analysts, 2024 will see a 46.4% growth in the shipment of augmented, virtual and mixed reality viewers, such as to push even those who have not yet done so to work on these devices.

Overseas experts say they are convinced that within four years viewers will replace iPads for enjoying films and games.

A huge thank you to our developers!

Their hard work has already resulted in over 1,000 incredible spatial apps designed specifically for Vision Pro, along with over 1.5 million compatible apps.

We're thrilled to see how they'll continue to push the boundaries for what's possible.

Meanwhile, according to the website The Verge, several users in the United States, after the trial period of the Vision pro, are returning them to the Apple Stores and getting back the $3,500 invested: they have experienced headaches, eye strain, motion sickness and difficulty supporting the weight on the face.
