Crime fans know Ferdinand Hofer from the Munich “Tatort”.
Before his acting breakthrough, he had a very down-to-earth job.
Spitzingsee – Ferdinand Hofer (30) has been an integral part of the Munich “Tatort” since 2014.
In his role as Kalli Hammermann, he supports inspectors Batic (Miroslav Nemec, 69) and Leitmayr (Udo Wachtveitl, 65).
He made his debut in May 2014 in “Tatort: At the End of the Hall”.
What many people don't know about the TV actor: Before he made his big breakthrough, he worked in a completely different job.
“Tatort” star Ferdinand Hofer used to be a ski instructor
For a few years he worked at a ski school on Spitzingsee in Bavaria.
“I think I started when I was 16,” Hofer reveals on “

.”
“I trained with the German Ski Instructors Association.” The Miesbach native only has good memories of this time.
“It was great fun.

His former boss also has nothing but praise for him: “I hate to say it in front of him, but he was a really cool teacher.” Ferdinand Hofer himself learned to ski at the age of three.
So it's no wonder that he still has a great passion for winter sports to this day.
However, a career as a professional ski racer was “never really an option”.
Ferdinand Hofer: Acting career started early
“I wasn’t ambitious enough when it came to skiing and that’s when I started making films,” says the TV star.
“I have been doing theater for a long time.
But I made my first film when I was twelve and when I started here I was 16. So I was already 'big in the business' by then."

With his new television role, Ferdinand Hofer can combine both talents: in the coming-of-age series “School of Champions” he plays a coach at a ski academy in Salzburg's Gastein Valley.
The first two episodes were broadcast on Wednesday (February 14th) on Erste.
Episode three airs on Saturday (February 17) at 11:50 p.m.
However, it is unclear what will happen next with his “crime scene” role.
Because his Munich colleagues Batic and Leitmayr are breaking up.
