Grafing - It was supposed to be another big festival for the Ebersberg Children's Cancer Aid, but the snow chaos on December 2nd, 2023 was too severe.

The Santa Claus Rock in Grafing had to be canceled.

Christopher Bestehorn organized the charity event for the Ebersberg children's cancer charity for many years.

Ironically, at his last long-planned XXL rock event in the Grafingen town hall, masses of snow paralyzed the district overnight.

But something still came together, even if not the amount that Bestehorn had wanted.

Because of the helpfulness of many people, a donation of 1,481.88 euros could now be handed over to the children's cancer charity.

For example, the city of Grafing gave the room rent for the town hall, the hotel in Grafing and the Gasthof Hölzerbräu in Ebersberg reimbursed the hotel costs for the accommodation of the band members from Austria, Heidenheim and Trier.

In addition, many rock fans decided not to refund the tickets they had already purchased in advance.

The Children's Cancer Aid would like to thank Christopher Bestehorn for his commitment: “We know from our own experience how much work, time and financial risk such a large event is associated with,” the organization writes in a press release.

“It is all the more remarkable that you, as a private individual, have managed and carried this alone all these years and we would like to thank you very much for that.”red
