“If we succeed in selling organic pasture-raised meat in the out-of-home catering in the Munich metropolitan region, many small farms in the Oberland that would otherwise give up will have the chance to raise calves from organic dairy farming,” says Fries.

In addition to Oberland Bioweiderind, the organic Wiesnhendl producer Pichler from Geretsried in the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district, an organic hop farmer from the Erlangen district, the manufacturer of a salad topping made from local oilseeds from the Swabian district of Aichach-Friedberg and other organic businesses were also honored .
