Everything will be different at GNTM in 2024 – because Heidi Klum is not just looking for female models.
This year a man will also win.
But the start fails with the fans.
Munich – Anyone who thought they had seen everything after almost 20 years of “Germany’s Next Top Model” was in for a surprise in 2024.
Chief judge Heidi Klum (50) has decided to give men a chance for the first time.
That's why there will be two winners in the 19th season of the model show: a man and a woman.
The new GNTM season starts on February 15th - but the new concept and the first episode have met with criticism from fans.

Even before the season aired, there was a first scandal: a candidate left GNTM and was mad at Heidi Klum and the show.
And it looks like the model mom has to listen to nasty comments from other quarters too.
With the beginning of the first scene, there is already a hail of criticism online.

(formerly Twitter) is exploding - but only a few positive voices can be filtered out among the postings.
There are several things that don't suit the audience at all.
On the one hand, some criticize the new concept, which also gives men the chance to fulfill their dream of modeling.
“Was it a good idea with the male models?
“I thought it was better before,” says a fan after just a few minutes.
“Yes, Heidi, we also have to get used to these guys,” another

user responded to a comment from Heidi Klum.
Some also accuse the production of casting many of the male models.
“If you can already see the beef between the selected and cast male models on the horizon,” someone writes.

Some viewers think the fact that some GNTM candidates already have previous experience is bad for the show.
“It will be a bit boring if they only choose influencers and experienced models,” suspects one social media user.
Many spectators also miss the older generation - because in recent years it was mainly best-ager models who were able to score points.
“Apparently the seniors have been replaced by the men,” concludes one fan. Another user writes disappointedly: “I miss the grannies.”

However, viewers can still get a few positive things out of the show.
Many users online are looking forward to drama and beef in the coming weeks and already have in mind which candidates will have to take part in the infamous makeover episode.
They also believe they have identified the next generation of reality TV stars.
After all, Anya Elsner (20), an ex-GNTM candidate, was also represented in the jungle camp.

“Okay, I think there were already two potential jungle campers and a new ex-wife for Oliver Pocher among the candidates, not a bad result for the first episode,” jokes a fan. Whether he is right remains to be seen.
Fans could soon see at least more of Heidi Klum: ProSieben is already planning a new format with the GNTM boss.
