The viewer was spoiled for choice: Hans Sigl's “Bergdoktor” or the new season of “Germany's Next Top Model” with Heidi Klum?

And yet: “The Bergdoktor” impresses with excellent ratings, as a total of 5.21 million viewers tuned in among the total audience (ages three and up).

ZDF gained a market share of 19.6 percent during prime time, leaving its rival broadcaster ProSieben far behind.

GNTM was only able to reach a total audience of 2.04 million people and achieved a market share of 8.7 percent.

For the new GNTM season, model Heidi Klum went into the recording studio for the third time and produced the song “Sunglasses at Night” together with DJ Tiësto (55).

The song serves, among other things, as the theme song for this year's “Germany's Next Top Model” season.
