Puchheim – In keeping with the International Safer Internet Day, digital days on the topic of “Children Safe on the Internet” were held in the 3rd and 4th grades of the Puchheim Süd elementary school and the Laurenzer elementary school.
For this purpose, both primary schools invited media professional Daniel Dell'Aquia.
Dr.
Margret de la Camp (Principal South Primary School) and Christiane Smolinsky (acting Principal Laurenzer Primary School) agree: “Media education with all its facets is a central task in primary school!”
Important topic for child-friendly communities
In the student workshops, the students experienced authentically what responsible media use means.
Questions like – why do free online games want to make money from me?
What am I allowed to do on WhatsApp, Instagram, TikTok and Co?
How do I protect my personal data?
And what do I do if I see something that is wrong or forbidden?
– were answered by the media professional.
In addition, an online lecture was held for the parents, which made it clear to their children how they understand the fascination with smartphones.
This topic is important to Mayor Norbert Seidl as a child-friendly municipality.
The city of Puchheim supported the Digital Days by covering the costs.
