In a sector of the department particularly affected by drug-related delinquency, the gendarmes are stepping up the pressure, displaying the firm intention of showing that they are more present than ever on the ground.
This Friday, February 16, from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., nineteen soldiers took part in an anti-delinquency operation in the city center of Noyon as well as at several points in other districts of the city.
A reinforced presence which disturbs some habits since in sight of the police, an individual tried to escape control by fleeing.
Quickly arrested, the man was carrying a small quantity of narcotics and a tear gas canister.
Placed in police custody, he emerged free but with a summons to appear before the Compiègne court.
During this evening of checks, fixed criminal fines (AFD) fell on a drug user and on motorists driving without a license or without insurance.
The AFD allows these minor offenses to be dealt with immediately, without the need to go through the stage of an appearance in court.
Finally, two other motorists will soon receive fines relating to traffic offenses noted by the police during this operation.
However modest, the results of this type of operation help to reassure the population and show the increased presence of law enforcement in sensitive areas of the department.
A reinforced presence to which you will have to get used since anti-delinquency operations are carried out every week.
