After four editions at Toulouse-Francazal airport in Cugnaux (Haute-Garonne), the Des Étoiles et des Ailes airshow is moving to Carcassonne (Aude).
On September 21 and 22, it is at Carcassonne South airport that this event, which brought together nearly 40,000 spectators at the last Toulouse edition in 2022, will take place.
The event, which takes place every two years, was moved after the services of the prefecture of Occitanie and Haute-Garonne considered that the Francazal site in its current configuration was not able to accommodate the event this year for security reasons.
Increasing urbanization and the densification of housing around the Francazal aerodrome create vulnerability with regard to aerobatics and aerial patrols demonstrated during the event.
The urbanization around the Toulouse airport made the meeting potentially too dangerous.

The Occitan sky belongs to us to write together a new page of this unique meeting.”
