A large-scale protest against the government is taking place tonight (Saturday) in several locations throughout the country, including on Kaplan Street in Tel Aviv.

Among the cities where demonstrations are taking place: Caesarea, Rehovot, Nes Ziona and Mitzpe Ramon.

In Tel Aviv, the demonstration is taking place on Kaplan Street instead of the Hiba square.

The demonstrations are held at the same time as the usual rally held by the families of the abductees for the release of their loved ones in the abductees' square in Tel Aviv.

Following the publication of the press conference that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu is holding this evening from his office, the families said: "Prime Minister Netanyahu, we would love for you to hold the press conference at Hatavim Square - that way you will not miss the cries of the families. We invite you. The families invite you. It is important to us."

Earlier, the police forbade a demonstration on Kaplan Street in Tel Aviv, which was used as the center of demonstrations by the "Kaplan Force" until the outbreak of war.

Moshe Redman, one of the leaders of the movement, said in response to this: "Where speeches are prohibited, in the not too distant future public figures and opposition activists will be imprisoned. Decisions such as not allowing speeches at demonstrations, which clearly indicate where this horrible government wants to take us, only increase the urge to bring for change".
