Thanks to the investigation, they determined that the gang was made up of
barracks from Club Atlético Los Andes and relatives
(the wife of the main investigator, who would act as his right hand) who had different hierarchies among them.
Among the network's activities was the
distribution of narcotics, before, during and after each sporting event in which they participated
.
Other crimes such as money laundering, illicit enrichment and threats
were also confirmed
.
In addition, they established that, through the facade of a construction company, extortion was carried out
to obtain contracts with different entities
.
The leader of the organization, “Tintin,” and his accomplice had ties to a construction union.
In this way,
they visited construction sites and threatened workers who were not under any union
to deduct a “union contribution” from their salaries.
As a result of these criminal activities, the people involved had an excessive monthly economic income, which they decided to launder by creating companies that only appeared on paper, but had no operational capacity.
They arrested Tintin, the leader of the gang, and 15 other members of the organization.
