The University of Macerata has launched a European project to integrate advanced technologies, such as artificial intelligence, into the curriculum of teachers and students in the humanities sector.

According to the University, there seems to be "a constant gap between the scientific, technological, engineering and mathematical disciplines on the one hand, the so-called STEM, and the human sciences on the other".

The European project 'Stem' focuses on the importance of multidisciplinarity in modern education.

Skills for Humanities' led by Unimc with Emanuele Frontoni as scientific coordinator, co-financed by the European Community and the Indire Agency within the Erasmus+ programme.

Collaborates an international consortium that includes prestigious academic institutions and organizations: the Mitropolitiko College Anoymi Ekpaideytiki Etairia and Innohive in Greece, the De Lille University in France, the Mykolo Romerio University in Lithuania, the Wroclawska Polytechnic in Poland, the Georgian International University in Georgia and the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv in Ukraine.

The project aims to develop Stem skills applied to the field of human sciences, promoting an innovative approach to learning that integrates advanced technologies, such as artificial intelligence, into the training curriculum of teachers and students in the humanities sector.

Artificial intelligence can be used not only in fields traditionally associated with STEM, but also to enrich and innovate humanities studies.

On the other hand, the integration of the points of view of the humanities in the creation of new AI paths - explains a note from UNIMC - significantly contributes to broadening the vision with respect to this important discipline and competence.
